Clothing Swap

Community Clothing Swap

Sunday 5/17/26 - 3-6 PM

Finish up your spring closet cleanouts and bring your clothes and accessories to WANDER for a community clothing swap! We would love to have a wide range of styles and adult sizes available, so mascs, femmes, plus-size folks, and humans of all styles, please join us! Kids are welcome to join, but we will not be swapping kids’ clothes. We will only accept donations day-of, as we do not have storage for advance drop-offs. When you arrive, volunteers will greet you and take donations to be sorted by type and size. If weather allows, we will have an area in the alley (outside the main entrance) for painting and stamping clothes to breathe fresh life into them. While this event is free to attend, we welcome monetary donations to Wander and/or to Berkshire Trans Exchange. Wander will have a limited menu available for purchase, and there will be an eating/drinking area so that we don’t spill on the clothes. But no purchases or donations are required– we welcome you to join us and take home some clothes, whether or not you’re able to bring any.

This is a community event, and we need help to make it happen! If you can contribute anything listed below, please reach out to wanderclothingswap@gmail.com

  • Volunteers!

    • Greeters

    • Clothes sorters

    • Clean up crew

    • Creative support for clothing stamping/painting station

  • Clothing racks for hanging clothes (to lend for the duration of event)

  • Hangers

  • Shoe racks (ideally collapsible, to lend for the duration of event)

Accessibility Information:

  • Wander is located at 34 Depot Street, and has 2 entrances: one is in the alley, past Tito’s. If you’re coming from North Street, you come down Depot Street, then turn right into the alley (technically called Liberty Street), and Wander is on your left up a few stairs. We also have an entrance from our shared, free parking lot on Depot Street (across the street from the public lot next to the parking garage). On a Sunday afternoon, you can park in any of the spots besides spots marked for Tito’s. To enter from that side, come in through the double glass doors, and you can get to our space on the 2nd floor via elevator on the left, or stairs on the right. Once you come in from the back entrance, you will go down a short hallway and turn left to go down a ramp and into the space.

  • We have 2 gender-neutral bathrooms. One has 2 individual stalls, and one has a stall and a urinal.

  • Masks will not be required, but are always welcome. Please do not attend if you are sick!

  • Our space has lots of overlapping noises, including music, conversation, and the sounds from our espresso machine, dishwasher, etc.

  • We are not a scent-free space, but it’s always considerate to use unscented products when coming to a group event, especially one where people will be touching and trying on clothes and may have chemical and scent sensitivities. If possible, please wash clothes in unscented detergent before bringing them to swap.

  • We have a variety of seating available, including couches, armchairs, and dining seats without arms. Our space is pretty large and open, but there are corners with furniture placed close together that may be hard to navigate when using mobility devices. We will do our best to make ADA-compliant spacing throughout the space for this swap.

  • If there are specific access questions or requests, contact us at wanderclothingswap@gmail.com
